The first public beta for ESET Mobile Security Business Edition (EMS BE) for Windows Mobile and Symbian operating systems is now available.
ESET Mobile Security BE BETA improvements include:
* Heuristics – Based on ESET NOD32’s revolutionary proactive protection concept, the ESET Mobile Security BE heuristics is optimized for the use on mobile platforms. It provides Real-time protection against existing and tomorrow’s threats. It is the essential component of proactive protection.
* Quarantine – The implementation of Quarantine is a significant functionality of ESET Mobile Security BE. Users can choose between deleting infiltrations or infected files as they are found and moving them into quarantine, where they no longer represent a threat to the system. Quarantined files can be either removed permanently or restored by the user.
* Logs/Statistics – Information about accomplished scanning tasks, scheduled security audits and latest database status are stored in a user friendly format. A variable range of scan-results history is also included.
Furthermore, the user is provided with complementary informative statistics about the On-Access activity.
The beta test version is a precursor to the final product without full functionality and documentation. It is intended for experienced users and should not be installed on devices that perform critical tasks because it may cause errors or crashes.
